Not sure on becoming a full Instructor?

If you like people, have a passion for scuba diving and want an extraordinary life – become a PADI Instructor. Teaching scuba diving allows you to share your love of the aquatic world with others while doing what you enjoy – being in, around and under water.

The PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is comprised of 2 different components. The first portion is the Assistant Instructor (AI) Program. The 2nd portion is the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. The IDC develops candidate's abilities to prepare academic, confined water, and open water teaching presentations. As a PADI Instructor candidate you'll also learn about business principles, teaching children, risk management, and other important topics relevant for the dive professional.

This course is the second and final component of the PADI Instructor Development Course and builds upon all your professional training previously acquired. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors and PADI Assistant Instructors are the most sought-after dive professionals around the world because they’ve completed the program that sets the standard for training dive professionals.
